| My Cancer Story:
| My Mom was diagnosed in early January, 2008, with inoperable stage IV pancreatic cancer. The Cross basically told her there was nothing, other than chemotheraphy, that they could do for her. Chemotherapy for this type of cancer would extend her life by 6 weeks... yes, six short weeks! Our family did not take this news/information lying down and we began searching for alternatives for our Mom. We found a doctor in New York City, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalaz, who was willing to accept my Mom as a patient. My Mom and I went at the end of February to see him. My Mom is now on a very strict vegan diet, whole-based food, 90% raw, and is taking 186 pills (yes, 186 -- not a typo) per day. The pills are a combination of pancreatic pig enzymes, trace elements, antioxidants and mega vitamins. It has only been just under two months that my Mom has been on this regimen. She has been very nauseous to date. I feel that it is still too early to see where this is going to go, but I am very confident in Dr. Gonzalaz and his regimen. |
