 My Cancer Story:
Hello, my name is Jim I am a 52-year-old married male and I have two beautiful children and a very loving wife. I had been diagnosed with bad cough in the mid of July and was sent in for some x-rays. The radiologist report came back that their was a mass found on my lower left lobe of my lung (good size7.5 x6.5 x5.5). Went on to the cat scan that came back not as good news so we went on to get the bronchoscope and they were able to get samples with a wash, came back as non small cell lung cancer. Then onto the to the PET scan, resaults for that was that one lymph node in the left lung may be infected. I am now waiting to see the lung surgeon nest week. I am expecting him to say that he will do a biopsy of the lymph nodes ( one on the right and center then go in with a different incision to check the lymph node in the left lung. This will then give me a incite as to what stage I am at and is surgery is still an option.
