 My Cancer Story:
My friend was diagnosed while being treated for a blood clot, he had a mass in his right lung, lower lobe. A biopsy proved it malignant and also 2 lymphnodes were malignant. In April he had his lower right lobe removed with the mass in it, plus the malignant was given Chemo therapy as a precaution after the surgery, followed br Radiation. 3 months after treatment they did a CT scan that showed active cancer cells, but they wanted to wait another 3 months in case it was a false reading, they thought what they were seeing could be scar tissue from radiation, 3 monthe=s later another ct scan done and cancer showed up in a rib. he has just finished 5 radiation treatments of 2 minutes each on that and is now waithing to do a second chemo. He also just had a bone scan that did not show cancer anywhere else except the rib. He does not qualify for A clinical study as we had hoped, so will do the chemo, then probably the chemo pill Tarceva. Anyone have a success story with this?
